Scott Byers of Scranton, Denise Cesare of Wilkes-Barre and Carolyn Newhouse of Bradford were installed recently as the newest members of the Team Pennsylvania Foundation Board of Directors.

Byers serves as President & CEO of Diversified Information Technologies, Inc., Cesare is the President & CEO of Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania and Newhouse is Founder and President of SuperUser Technologies.

“We are excited to have the expertise and leadership of these three individuals on our board as the Foundation works to fulfill its mission to initiate and support innovative programs that drive economic prosperity in Pennsylvania,” Governor Edward G. Rendell, Public Sector Board Co-Chair, said. “They also share the Foundation’s vision of making Pennsylvania a world leader in a global economy.”

“The success of our programs and initiatives is due in no small part to the leadership and guidance of our volunteer board members,” said Karen Winner, Private Sector Board Co-Chair, said. “We look forward to their contributions as we work to achieve our strategic mission to attract and retain businesses, ensure there’s an educated and properly trained workforce and improve government efficiency.”

These appointments are in line with the Foundation’s long-standing tradition of ensuring its board represents key industry sectors as well as all regions of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
