Please take a moment to consider what the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will be like in five, ten, even twenty years. Several years ago, a group of visionary business and governmental leaders came together for the first time to initiate a proactive economic development program. The question posed to these leaders was very simple: "Will we remain a state where talented people want to live and work, conduct business, and raise a family; or will we allow competing states and countries to pursue these same interests at our economic expense and loss?" These leaders realized the importance of quality growth and quality of life to the citizens of Pennsylvania and launched this bold initiative called Team Pennsylvania Foundation. Team Pennsylvania Foundation is a dynamic, public/private partnership that initiates and supports innovative programs to improve Pennsylvania's competitiveness and economic prosperity. We accomplish our goals by: Supporting important economic development, expansion and retention opportunities. Providing comprehensive access to state and regional information about site location, expansion and workforce development. Attracting, developing, and retaining capable and diverse people to and within our state. Convening and connecting leaders to chart the future of Pennsylvania's economy. Our support results in innovative ideas and initiatives that reflect entrepreneurial spirit, improve and strengthen our workforce, and ultimately contribute to a growing and strong Pennsylvania economy. Who determines which path we follow? The answer is very basic - all of us have a role and responsibility! Involved business, statewide, community leaders ultimately shape the Commonwealth's future. Our individual actions, however, are not enough to engineer the type of economy we want. It takes teamwork to reach a goal of such magnitude.
