To expand the availability to early stage capital to Pennsylvania-based entrepreneurs, Team Pennsylvania Foundation has invested over $15 million in early start-up initiatives.  Investments were made in three Pennsylvania-based venture capital firms including:

• Draper Triangle Ventures
  • Joint investment with DCED and private sector investors
  • Invests primarily in southwestern PA in information technology, education technology, medical technology and advanced software
• Novitas Capital
  • Joint investment with the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) and private sector investors
  • Invests in technology companies in southeastern PA
• Penn Venture Partners, L.P.
  • Joint Investment with Ben Franklin Technology Development Authority and Zero Stage Capital Company, Inc.
  • Invests in the central and northern regions of the state
