High Hotels held a ceremony to kickoff construction of its 13th hotel.

Lancaster, Pa.-based High Hotels Ltd.  celebrated the groundbreaking recently of its 13th hotel, a TownePlace Suites by Marriott slated to open in the fall of 2014 in the Rossmoyne Business Center on Harrisburg’s West Shore, Cumberland County.

The moderately priced hotel is designed to meet the needs of the growing segment of “do-it-yourself” travelers – guests who want more than a place to stay when they’re away from home; they want a place to live.

The 120 room hotel, for which High Hotels will serve as owner and operator, is the latest addition to RossmoyneBusinessCenter, located in Mechanicsburg, and home to more than 125 businesses.

The architect for the project is Greenfield Architects Ltd and the general contractor is High Construction Company, both based in Lancaster, and affiliates of High Real Estate Group.  The $15-million dollar project will provide approximately 30 full- and part-time jobs.

“We are happy to build on our successful relationship with Lower-Allen Township,” said Mark Fitzgerald, president and chief operating officer of High Real Estate Group LLC. “Our team developed and successfully operates the Hampton Inn and the Homewood Suites hotels on adjacent sites to the future TownePlace.  All of this would not have been possible without the collaboration and ongoing support of our local officials.”

TownePlace Suites is recognized as the #1 extended-stay, mid-price hotel by Business Traveler-News for the last two years.

Ideal for the self-sufficient, extended-stay guest, the property will feature spacious studio and one- and two-bedroom suites with full-size kitchens as well as separate living/working and sleeping areas.  Guests will work and relax in brightly colored modern suites that feature stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, adjustable work spaces with built-in shelves and lighting, free Wi-Fi and HD-TV, as well as Marriott’s luxurious new bedding.

Other features include a complimentary breakfast, business center, indoor pool and a fitness room open 24 hours per day. For those who want a quick snack, guests can also select food and beverage items from the 24-hour “In a Pinch®” market. TownePlace Suites participates in the award-winning Marriott Rewards® frequent travel program.

Located at the intersection of Ritter Road and Louise Drive in the RossmoyneBusinessCenter, Mechanicsburg, the TownePlace Suites by Marriott will offer guests convenient access to the Harrisburg Capital Region, HersheyPark, and will provide easy access to Exit 236 of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Rates vary depending on the length of stay. For more information or reservations, contact High Hotels directly at 717-293-4446 or visit www.HighHotels.com.
