PPL EnergyPlus has been awarded a five-year contract to supply energy to U.S. General Services Administration facilities in Pennsylvania.
“We are pleased to offer the General Services Administration competitively priced products and services while managing its supply portfolio. We look forward to this long-term relationship and to providing our dedicated, personal approach to our valued customers,” said Joel Cook, vice president of retail marketing and western trading.
The Pennsylvania-based electric generation supplier will provide approximately 300 million kilowatt-hours of competitively priced energy to nearly 20 facilities throughout the state, including veterans’ hospitals and other sites run by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs; federal correctional institutions; and other facilities. To put this volume in perspective, the average homeowner uses about 1,000 kilowatt-hours per month.
The General Services Administration oversees the business of the U.S. federal government. Its acquisition solutions supply federal purchasers with cost-effective high-quality products and services from commercial vendors.
