The second Pennsylvania Apprenticeship Summit took place October 30-31st, 2019. This event brought together apprenticeship experts from across the country, workforce professionals, along with organizers and participants in current and potential programs from across the state.

Last year’s inaugural Apprenticeship Summit attracted 350 attendees, with a major increase this year as over 600 people attended the two-day statewide conference, with a networking reception sponsored by the PA Chamber of Business & Industry. Team Pennsylvania’s co-chairs, Governor Tom Wolf and Tony Bartolomeo of Pennoni, as well as President & CEO Ryan Unger, spoke at the event.

Governor Wolf addressed attendees, explaining how critically essential workforce development is to all Pennsylvanians. The event also included a panel consisting of members from the Keystone Economic Development and Workforce Command Center, who discussed how apprenticeships are an integral part of the big picture of enhancing Pennsylvania’s workforce, for both jobs of the future and the jobs of today.
