The Governor’s Advisory Commission on Latino Affairs (GACLA) has the
unique privilege to host a FUERZA Pennsylvania’s Latina Symposium.
GACLA’s mission is to ensure the quality of life in the Latino Community
throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

This year’s theme for the symposium is Growing Today’s Latina, specifically
geared towards Latina empowerment. The FUERZA Pennsylvania’s Latina
Symposium will be a one-day event in the City of Philadelphia. It will be
held at La Salle University on June 2, 2018 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

This symposium will include various workshops regarding issues such
as: Nutrition, Work-Life Balance, Happiness in Growth, Establishing
Independence, Financial Literacy, Entrepreneurship and Leadership. We
will also discuss a variety of initiatives and upgrades since the formation of
GACLA in 2015 as it keeps in pace with Governor Tom Wolf’s promise of a
“Government That Works”.
