Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania Announced
Close to 1,000 gathered this evening in Lancaster to see the rankings unveiled for the “Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania.” A financial services firm and a web solutions agency were named the top two Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania for 2015.
Edward Jones of West Chester and WebpageFX of Harrisburg topped the list for the large- and small/medium-sized categories, respectively.
Team Pennsylvania joined the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) and the Central Penn Business Journal in announcing Pennsylvania’s 100 Best Places to Work at the Lancaster County Convention Center. Team Pennsylvania is the lead sponsor and, along with DCED, a founding partner of Best Places to Work which began 15 years ago.
“It’s an honor to be a part of a celebration in which we recognize companies that are focused on fostering the development of our most important resource in Pennsylvania, our workforce,” said Secretary of the Department of Community and Economic Development Dennis M. Davin. “The holistic approach of ensuring that people are made a priority within a company is key to the success of the company as well as the economic health and success of Pennsylvania. Congratulations to this evening’s winners.”

Good business leaders get that having innovative workplaces are critical to our long-term success,” Team Pennsylvania President & CEO Ryan C. The Best Places to Work in PA includes two groups: 74 small/medium-sized firms with 25-250 employees and 26 large-sized companies with over 250 employees.
The rankings are compiled through research via a survey that’s sent to employers and employees from hundreds of companies in the commonwealth. Using a formula similar to Fortune’s “100 Best Companies to Work for in America,” the Best Companies Group scores the workplace practices survey along with the employee survey and each Best Places to Work candidate is given an overall score.
To be eligible, participating companies must:
• Be a for-profit or not-for-profit business;
• Be a publicly or privately held business;
• Have a facility in Pennsylvania;
• Have at least 25 full or part-time employees working in Pennsylvania; and
• Be in business a minimum of 1 year.
