The National Plastics Expo took place from May 7-11 in Orlando, Florida. Pennsylvania had a strong presence, with a delegation of 19 people including Team PA President & CEO, Ryan Unger.

The Pennsylvania delegation championed key messages about Pennsylvania’s plastics. Themes included the commonwealth’s labor and workforce, location and infrastructure, fully integrated petrochemical and plastics industry, and innovation.

There are currently 34,500 plastics jobs in Pennsylvania across 550 establishments (2017), which is an increase of 2,400 jobs between 2016 and 2017, with the goal to have an even more significant increase in the years to come because of the relationships built at this event.
