47 Small, 25 Medium and 28 Large Sized Companies Make the List

The alphabetical list of the 100 companies in Pennsylvania to win a designation as a “Best Place to Work” has been revealed. This year’s list represents roughly 25,000 employees of 47 small, 25 medium and 28 large sized companies. In order to be eligible for this process, companies had to be a publicly or privately held business; a for-profit, non-for-profit business or government entity; have a facility in the state of Pennsylvania; employ at least 15 people working in Pennsylvania; and be in business for at least one year. Making this list is a prestigious honor and winners improve their visibility and appeal to jobseekers from around the globe by carrying a trusted stamp of approval as a “Best Places to Work in PA” company.

Companies began the application process in March of this year. Once registered, a survey was administered to both employees and employers at hundreds of companies across our commonwealth. Winners are chosen based on who receives the highest combined scores in a twofold evaluation: a review of a company’s workforce policies, practices and demographics, along with the results of an employee survey measuring the employee experience. Using a formula similar to Fortune’s “100 Best Companies to Work for in America,” the Best Companies Group surveys and scores the workplace and each candidate is given an overall score.

“In navigating the challenges of the past year, the creativity, innovation and perseverance of these companies in maintaining exceptional workplaces never ceased to motivate us as we once again celebrate the top 100 companies to work for in Pennsylvania, in partnership with the Central Penn Business Journal and the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development,” said Abby Smith, Team Pennsylvania’s Vice President of Policy & Programs.
